Bounce 'Til Bedtime Party!

Looking for a great way to tire out the kids in a clean, temperature-controlled and unbelievably fun environment? Look no further because the long-awaited "Bounce 'Til Bedtime" Party will happen at Jumpin' Jack's THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!

That's right! Hop on over to Jumpin' Jack's in Hatfield this Saturday night for open bounce time, followed by a storytime, craft and ice cream sundaes from 6:00 to 8:00PM! The event is co-hosted by Barnes and Noble. Prizes will be given for best pajamas so be sure to dress the part!

What's the cost for all this fun? Admission is $10 per child. Adults and kids under two are free with a paying child.

Can't make it over on Saturday? Jumpin' Jack's offers open bounce time every operating day which is every day but Sunday! No need to call ahead or keep track of crazy schedules. That's just one more reason Jumpin' Jack's is the place to be this summer! (Well, that and air conditioning, the snack bar, free wifi...)

A guest appearance by Curious George will bring story time to life for Harleysville and North Wales area children

On Saturday, July 30, Kiddie Academy of Harleysville and Kiddie Academy of North Wales will host Storytime LIVE! where children and their parents can enjoy a story and then meet the lovable...Curious George!

The event, which is free and open to everyone, begins at 11:00 a.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture the smiles when their child meets Curious George.

Free Child Fingerprinting Event

Stop by The Little Gym in Hatfield this Thursday, July 28th between 3:00 and 5:00PM for their free fingerprinting event. Western & Southern Financial Group will be creating fingerprint kits for families in our area - at no cost! These kits will include fingerprints, a hair sample and identifying information about your child. Each family will receive a kit to hold on to and to use in the case of an emergency. Having this information on hand and available to the authorities could make a huge difference in the case of any unfortunate circumstance.

The Little Gym is proud to help promote the safety and well being of all of our community members. This event is open to all Members and Non-Members. So come see us on July 28th and get your FREE fingerprint kit!

The Little Gym simply asks that you please RSVP via email, or by posting on their Facebook fanpage or by phone at (215) 631-1600 and provide the names of the children you are bringing.

Tonight's Movie in the Park CANCELLED

Tonight's Movie in the Park has been cancelled!

Per Towamencin Township personnel:  Shrek Forever After has been canceled for tonight due to the excessive heat warning and poor air quality. A new showing date will be announced. Sorry for any inconvenience.

So, now we can look forward to viewing it another night...much more comfortably! :-)

I have confirmed with both Lansdale Borough and Montgomery Township personnel that their evening programs will go on as planned.

Variety's "Kids with Heart Talent Show" has announced a second call for auditions! Here's the scoop:

Variety is pleased to bring a second opportunity for children and youth with disabilities (up to age 21) to audition for this year's Kids with Heart Talent Show!  So, if you missed the auditions last month, don't worry!  Here's another chance:

Happy Birthday, North Penn Under Ten!

It was one year ago today that the first post was published to the NorthPennUnderTen.com blog and what a year it has been!

The NPUT Parks Guide and Map went live in the first month. The MarketPlace was soon to follow. We went to a Green Halloween and a Hecklerfest. We Couponed for Community with some help from 6ABC. We tweeted our wish lists to Santa. We turned Candy into Cash and swapped Food for Fines. Some nice folks decided to call us a Top StartUp! We went head over heels when Jumpin' Jack's bounced into town!  The Eagles fans rallied, the Babies Boogied. We Did Some Good and afterward, We All Cleaned Up.

To the 300+ Facebook fans, 100+ Twitter followers, and all of you anonymous folks who simply check the calendar and run, THANK YOU.

With an average of about 10 events per day, this also makes hundreds, even thousands events that we've shared as a community so far! And, with the exception of a few Sundays in November and December, there is already something planned for us to do right here in North Penn every single day for the rest of the year!! Wow.
